Title: How to go to OC-248
I asked tour-company (IMPAC) how to go to and land OC-248 South Palau Group. According to the RSGBIOTA's site there are more than 10% credit for this island group. Not a rare one for IOTA chaiser.
There have been QRV in the past, such as T88SI and T88BA.
OC-248 include Sonsorol State and Hatohobei State, and a few people lives in these state.
Only way to go to these islands are to charter a boat. And these island located 600km south of Koror, so you can enjoy over 24h trip in the boat :-)
The cost to charter a boat is 40,000$ or so, he said.
It takes very high cost without going at least 10 people who enjoy diving, fishing and radio :-)
It seems to be not easy to go, doesn't it? Well, it just depends on donation! (it's a joke
I have respect for the peditioner who land rare IOTA around the world.
Direi che Makoto ha raccolto più o meno le stesse info che avevamo noi nel 2002 all'epoca di T88SI. Ed infatti spendemmo un patrimonio ma ne valse veramente la pena. Diciamo che ora si potrebbe rifare il viaggio risparmiando tantissimo. I contatti ci sono, manca solo il tempo. Al mio ritorno creai un sito web affinche si potesse conoscere meglio quell'isola. Mi affascinò a tal punto che ancora adesso ce l'ho nella mente e nel cuore. Il sito (ufficiale) è www.sonsorol.com e la foto che vedete qui sotto risale appunto al febbraio 2002.
