Derek mi manda un po' di materiale per un semplicissimo sito web in merito la sua prossima attività in P29. Nel contempo mi informa che a Luis CT1AGF è stato assegnato il nominativo P29VLR per l'attività da Kilinalau island (OC-256). Mentre da Nukumanu (OC-284p) dovrebbero essere attivi come P29VCX e da Takuu (OC-283p) come P29NI. A proposito di Takuu, Derek, nella lettera inviata per le sponsorizzazioni scrive: "These islands are low lying and are suffering from the effects of global warming which is causing the sea level to rise. Takuu is especially vulnerable because it is also sinking due to the movement of the tectonic plates in the region. The net result is that the sea level is rising 20cm per year and the island is only 2 metres above the high tide level. 600 people live on this island. Nukumanu is also populated." Se l'isola è alta solo 2 metri s.l.m. ed il livello del mare si alza di 20 cm l'anno, è facile presumere che in dieci anni Takuu sarà sommersa ed i 600 abitanti dovranno evacuare.
